About Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya sits high in the central hills and is known as the “Tea Land of Sri Lanka”. Its cool, misty climate, rolling tea estates and British-era architecture give it the nickname “Little England”.
The journey itself is a highlight, with tea plantations, tea factories and waterfalls along the way. In town you can visit Gregory Lake, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Victoria Park and strawberry farms, or ride a horse around the lake.
