Sigiriya is a 5th-century rock fortress that rises dramatically from the surrounding jungle. The climb takes you past ancient frescoes, the Mirror Wall with its centuries-old graffiti and the Lion’s Stairway to the summit palace ruins. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most famous sights.<\/p>\n
